The Old Town Bridge Tower in Prague is situated at the famous Charles Bridge. Old Town Bridge Tower signals the entry to Prague’s Old Town. Construction of Old Town Bridge Tower was started in 1357 and was completed in 1380.
The tower was seen as an arch which kings could march through on their coronation procession as well serving as part of Prague’s fortification system to protect the city from enemies.
Entrance fee costs 100 CZK and can be purchased at the tower. Once purchased you will have to climb 138 steps to the viewing gallery. Once at the top you will get views of Charles Bridge, the Vltava River, the Old Town, the Lesser Town and Prague Castle.
