The Pont de Pierre bridge in Bordeaux, France, pictured above at night was constructed between 1819 and 1822. at The Pont de Pierre bridge is translated to “Stone Bridge” in English and runs over the Garonne River in Bordeaux. The bridge was designed under the orders of Napoléon Bonaparte and has seventeen arches which matches the number of letters in Napoléon Bonaparte’s name.
