Plaza de España in Seville

Plaza de España Seville

Plaza de España in Seville was designed by Aníbal González. Plaza de España was constructed for the Latin American Expo (Exposición Ibero-Americana) of 1929 and after years of neglect was renovated and has become a famous spot for the people of Seville to pose for their wedding photos. Plaza de España is an example of Renaissance Revival style in Spanish architecture.

The area consists of Government buildings and has been used as a filming location for Lawrence of Arabia, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and The Dictator staring Sacha Baron Cohen.
