Located in New York City the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine was designed in 1888 with construction beginning in 1892. The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine was first designed in the Byzantine Revival-Romanesque Revival style with the architecture changing to Gothic Revival. The Cathedral is still unfinished with construction ongoing.
The Cathedral is located on Amsterdam Avenue between West 110th Street and 113th Street in Manhattan’s Morningside Heights neighbourhood. The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine is the largest Anglican church and the 4th largest Christian church in the world. Representing the seven most prominent ethnic groups is seven smaller chapels behind the choir.
