Munich Air Disaster Clock

On the 6th of February 1958 the Munich air disaster occured when a plane crashed at Munich-Riem Airport in Munich, Germany. The plane was carrying the Manchester United football team known as the “Busby Babes” as well as supporters and journalists. Of the 44 people on board 23 died. The Munich Air Disaster clock was unveiled on the 25th of February 1960 in the south-east corner of Old Trafford in memory of those who lost their lives.
